Every activity follows five principles from the Alcochete academy and Portuguese tacticalperiodization.
1. Ball in every exercise. No lines, no laps. Fitness comes through the game at matchintensity.
2. Train the game, not the drill. Every exercise has opponents, a direction and a decisionto make.
3. The four moments. Attacking organization, defensive transition, defensiveorganization, attacking transition. Players learn what to do in each.
4. 1v1 courage. Sporting's identity (Figo, Ronaldo, Quaresma, Nani) is wingers andattackers who take players on. Dribbling is encouraged, not punished.
5. Small spaces, quick minds. Rondos and reduced games create more touches andfaster decisions than full-field play.Shared language for the week: orientated first touch, see before you receive, win it back in5 seconds, attack the space.
